About Detective Books

When I was in my junior high school, I was very interested in reading detective books. And now, I’m really always into Sherlock Holmes’s careful illation and Agatha Christie’s detailed description of the criminal’s thoughts after the murder.
‘Sherlock Holmes’ is written by Conan Doll, who was not very famous when he wrote his first novel. Further more, he only got 25 dollars as his reward. But he accepted it because it took a lot of time to find a person that was willing to publish his novel. At that time, he was doing his internship as a doctor. However, after the first book was published, he became very famous because of the wonderful, complicated, and magical plot of his first novel. And that set a very good foundation for his future writing.
In this novel, he first introduced the famous detective into the story- Sherlock Holmes. When he met his future partner-Watson for the first time, he clearly knew that Watson had just been back from Afghanistan according to the mud on his trousers and the shape and an injury on his hand. That’s very marvelous!
Then the story told us a murder happened in a lonely house in the country side. There are some footprints, fingerprints, a ring on the spot. And the murderer wrote a German word which means ‘revenge’ on the wall with the blood. Through Sherlock Holmes’s meticulous and logical illation, they finally found the murderer. And the second part of the story tells how the animosity between the victim and the murderer came. It makes the story complete.
Also, Agatha Christie’s Detective Books are my favorite, too. If you haven’t read them yet, I strongly recommend you to have a look. I’m sure that you will be fascinated by them the moment you start to read!
