Last weekend I saw a film called Forrest Gump. It’s a very interesting film, and has many philosophies in it. This film let you think more about life and your future, of course, and your attitude towards things. It teaches me a lot and I find sometimes we may not as lucky as a simple, even a foolish guy.
This film tells a story about Gump. When he was young, there was something wrong with his legs and he could not move fast and smooth. He was always being bullied by other boys in school and nobody wanted to talk to him. But there is one girl, called Jenny, helps him and becomes his best friend. His IQ is only 75, and he couldn’t go to a public school. But his mother talked to the principal and won the “battle” finally. His mother always told him that “Life is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you are going to get next.” His mother is very great and put all of her love to little Gump. Several years later, Gump went to senior school with Jenny his classmate. Because Gump could run very fast, (because Jenny told him when you met something, just run), he joined in the school soccer team by chance. So Gump, a fool young adult, went to college with others, too. When he graduated from college, the war in Vietnam broke up and he went to Vietnam with other young men. And Jenny, who had different values about life and world, became addicted to drugs and went a wrong way. In Vietnam, Gump knew his best friend, a fan about shrimps, who dead in the war, and the Lieutenant Dan, who lost his legs after war. When he came back, he was honored a medal of honor by the president. And Lieutenant Dan was dropped off from honor and was negative. He met Gump and they spent the New Year together. Dan was affected by Gump and they bought a ship to get shrimps from the sea as Gump promised before. They were rich and famous later, and the ships called Jenny 1, 2, 3 and so on. How about Jenny? She was very negative, too. She went to find Gump, who loved her deeply. And the next day, she left Gump. Gump was sad, so he decided to run. He ran a very long way, and many people follow him. 3years later, he stopped his running and went to home. A few days later, he received a letter and it was from Jenny. So he went to see her. He was shocked to find Jenny has already had a baby and when he knew the baby is theirs, he was moved. So they raised the child together. But actually, Jenny led an unhappy life and she has got AIDS. She died a few months later and Gump sent their child to school every day.
The story is over, but my mind still can’t calm down. This film told me many things and it is worth thinking.
