The Third Treasure Hunter

It is said that in the middle of the infinite dessert there existed an old city which was filled with treasure. The people who hankered for the treasure had to not only cross the dessert but also pass through the countless snares along the journey.
Myriad people desired to get that treasure, but very few had that courage to conquer the dessert and snares. So the treasure had stayed in the dessert for generations.
One day, a brave man heard about the legend from his grandfather and made his decision to find the treasure. Having prepared food and water, the man set out.
In case of getting lost on the way back, the man made marks on every place he had passed by. Although very step is filled with danger, the man ultimately found a way to the city. When the city had already emerged from the horizon, however, the man fell into a snare which was full of vipers as a result of his over excited.
Decades passed, there came another brave hunter. Standing in front of the marks made by the first man, he thought that as the marks extended, the one who made those marks must walked along this way safely, it’s wise to follow the way. Having stepped along the way for a distance, he firmly believed that the way is safe and walked without carefulness. Then, of course, he fell into the same snare and became the feast of vipers.
The third one stepped into the dessert was a wise man. Having seen the marks, he thought that those marks were not credible, for there was no one back from the journey of searching the treasure. By his wisdom, he carefully found another way to the city. Those treasures were all became his personal belongings.
By the death of the wise man, he said to his posterity:“The way that someone has stepped doesn’t always led to the success, don’t trust the experience too easily……”
