Ms Goh’s Books

Today Ms Goh brought us many English books of her own, Harry Potter series included. We are glad to get those good books. But I felt down after Ms Goh told us that some of her books like Harry Potter were gone forever after she lent them out during the previous years. She wasn’t complaining while I thought it a pity, a shame!
For those who had kept the books unreasonably, there might be several possibilities. Forgot to return? Too attractive to return? No bother to return? For those book-loving fellows I want to say, I can’t and needn’t figure out the true reason but I know you’ve hurt someone’s feelings by what you thought are tiny matters. Indeed, you lost your own faces and you lost our faces as well because we are all Chinese.
Today our kind tutor still brought us so many valuable books without concerning their end-results for which we should be grateful. However we never have
Chances to look through those “missing” ones just because of someone’s ignorance. Remember, we are not supposed to behave perfectly, but we shall have an eye for others; we are not only born to receive but also give; we don’t necessarily represent our nation when abroad but never forget that we come from the same homeland.

  1. Hmm.. thanks for that Du Fang. It is partly my fault I can't really keep track of who I lent it to. Also I don't really mind as long as students are reading the books and not leaving it around on dusty shelves.

  2. chinese student do need some real moral education ude to the unsuccessful "political course". so many students today are so selfish that they seldom think about others, nor do they do for others. that's also a reason, at least in my opinion, why china is suffering from so many problems. do be thoughtful, do have a warm heart, do think less about urself, 'cause only in this way can we enjoy a better world in which to live harmoniously!
never let ur motherland feel shamful on u!
