My Childhood

Maybe the childhood is a precious fortune for all the people .Now let me introduce my life when I was under 10 years old .
FARMLAND
Did you ever wander on the farmland enjoying the scenery ? Did you ever touch the earth with your bare feet? Did you ever lie down on the ground to enjoy the sunshine? All of these answer are “Yes.” What about yours?
As the daughter of farmers ,I have really different life ,especially when I was only a little child.I often went to the farmland since my parents were afraid of leaving me alone at home. And at that time the farmland was really my favourite place .There were flowers ,birds and all kinds of insects.
It is known to all of us that the life in the country is not very comfortable. There are less shops ,bad schools , bad traffic condition and so on.But you can get closer with the nature .The sky is clear blue .The air is fresh .No doubt that many people prefer to live in the country when they are retired from their work.
RIVER AND THE WOODS
There is a river around our little village .Along the riverside there are mang weeds and beautiful wildflowers.I usually went there on summer nights. After being heated for all the day time, the water in the river was really warm .
And there were usually a lot of people coming to the river to bath especially the children.I loved the feeling .And at that time there were a large amount of fishes and mussels .When I were in the river I could see the fishes around me .
Near the river there are a small woods .Since I am afraid of the snakes in it ,I only went there in winters .And the best time to go there is after the snowfall. The sky was clear . The world was bright .All trees were covered with the thick snow .I just stood in the woods feeling the time was frozen and I was the only one left in the world.
After I went to the primary school ,I rarely had time to go there . But all my memory will retain in my memory forever.

  1. Life in the countryside can be boring but can also be interesting. People in the country may enjoy many things that people in the city may have never seen in their whole life, but not everyone enjoys the life in the country as after all you won't have all the convenient facilities in the country.

  2. Thanks for sharing, Weibin! My dream is to be a farmer one day, and live on the land =)

Being close to nature has always been a goal I aim for, so you are a very lucky lady indeed to spend your childhood in the country! I grew up living in flats in a concrete jungle, so being out in the countryside has always been something I look forward to on my trips.

Maybe you would like to share some pictures with us as well?

  3. That's a really beautiful sharing, Weibin. Thank you! Have you gone back to the countryside recently? I was wondering whether it had changed much since the time you were a child.
