It was that day when I had to prepare my oral report, it really frustrated me that I really didn’t know what to talk about, however,at last I chose two of my most favorite sportsman, one is Rafael Nadal,a genius tennis player, the other is ZhangNing,a badminton player of China national team.
Why I call ZhangNing the queen of badminton is that she had really suffered a lot until she got the fame she deserved. She began to play badminton when her father bought a pair of wooden rackets one day; she really enjoyed her first play. In a school competition, she impressed a man much, who changed her life later, and he is a coach of a local sports school. What impressed him so much wasn’t her excellent performance, but her spirit of bravery and persevere inside. However she was nearly forced to give up training because of her mother’s disease but at last she entered national team.
Unluckily, her bad performance led China to miss the champion in a quite important international match. Since then she was hided and not allowed to participate in any important match. After suffering great pain of many years, she won her first world champion when she was already 28 years old in 2003.In 2004 Olympic Games, she won the gold medal. In 2008 Olympic, she was considered to clean up enemies so that China can ensure the gold medal, however,to everyone’s amazement, it was she who finally got the gold medal but not anyone else. She gave a hang to her coach after that match, who helped her a lot in her dark period, and when I saw her great happiness, I felt happy for her as well, that year she was already 33.She was also the flagman of China in the closing ceremony of 2008 Olympic, which meant she was appreciated by the whole nation for her persevere.
After great pain she finally won, that moment she is the most beautiful and shinny one. She is the queen of badminton fully deserve!
