Oh, recess week

Our recess week will begin in two weeks time. Most of us are excited and some even plan to go back to China. It is crazy, I think. Some plan to go to Indonesia. It is also very crazy. For me, I have not decided yet, maybe stay in Eton Hall. But it is too narrow. Actually, I want to look around Singapore with my friends and practice my average spoken English.
Sometimes we make a plan and want to carry it out on time. But in fact, many failed. We just want to play and kill time rather than study according to the plan. So this recess week maybe a useful time if you make the most of it, but it maybe spend by watching movies or playing computer games, it is a waste of time, I think. Visiting Singapore is a good way to know this country and learn more about it. But I don’t mean that you just pay a visit to the famous places and take back a lot of photos. We can talk with the local people or do some research on one topic, like the history of the country when you go to the National Museum or investigate the famous people and their lives in Singapore.
Another important thing I want to say is that during the recess week, safety is the first thing you should consider. No matter where and when you go to, take a notice of your personal belongings. If you lost your wallet, it means you may lose everything to some extent. Because some of us (like me) may put everything in his/her wallet, like money, studentpass, POSB card and many other cards. If you lose it, you will get in great trouble and your recess will be another busy issue. So really take care of your things or you will be regret.
Recess week is almost the happiest moment in our bridging course. So enjoy it and forget the boring study missions. Our seniors told us that bridging course is our happiest time during we stay in Singapore. I think it is true. After we enter the university, we will have more subjects and assignments. Our press will be more and we will not have such a happy and relax time in our lives. So, just make a good plan of your recess week and enjoy it.

  1. hehe, recess week! i just can't wait! i believe it could be a lot of fun no matter where u go, even sleeping all day long can be really enjoyable!
in terms of going back to china, since i am a very independent person, i don't miss my hometown so much, nor did i miss when i when to philipines along several years ago. actually, according to my plan, the earliest time i would go back is the winter next year.
but it may be put off, for i wish to spend a summer holiday: first, go to hongkong by sea, play a week and go to the mainland. then go around china. since i have friends and classmates everywhere and they haven't started holiday yet, i could visit their cities when i finish the trip and arrive my hometown----taiyuan they will be back too, then, we could get together, and celebrate!!!
sounds like a good plan, right? but the problem is i stil want to spend a holiday to study someting in europe and u.s. but i don't have so many holidays!

  2. To take a good rest is probably your first choice. You can also rent a bike and cycle around Singapore?

  4. I really agree with you. Recess week is really an exciting time. I do not things going back to China or travelling to Malaysia is a good idea. We have just adapted to the life here in Singapore. Going back to China means we may spent another few months to get used to our life again. What is more, we have been in Singapore for only three months. It is really unsafe for us to go to Malaysia or Indonesia now. Why not do it after we get more familiar with Singapore and its surroundings. One week does not seem that long, but a lot things can be done if time is fully used. I hope I can use the time fully and do some meaningful thing. May you all have a good time!

  5. The one-week break will fly by, so maybe you should plan what you want to do. If not, you might find the days slipping by and before you know it, it's the Sunday at the end of the recess week. Enjoy yourself!
