Shameless Westerners

Nowadays, I’m reading a book called Soviet Air Power. Associated with some new affairs, I do want to say something.
Westerners are shameless.
Actually, I have met a lot of westerners before and I like all of them, they were kind and never shameless, but unfortunately, there are quite a few westerners that are incredibly shameless. They seem to be some “I” kind guy (“I” is the one in DISC). They are talkative. People who are too naive and not knowledgeable enough tend to trust their words. What is worse, they are good at lying and misleading people, and they are also interested in focusing on others while forgetting they may be doing some worse things. As a result, they have a tremendous influence on western society.
Here, I will skip some so called “sensitive issues” like some “Tibet thing” or “Taiwan thing”. Let’s just have a look at what they said about Soviet Union 30years ago.
All the quoted contents below are picked from the Soviet Air Power, published in 1978, in Belgium. Let’s see something interesting.
“If it is apprehensive about an invasion from the West, why does it not construct defences in depth against such an attack?”----a kind of typical unreasonable thought. Why should others only defend and only the west can keep an attacking position? Besides, we all knowledge that the best way to defend is to attack, according to statistics, if one spend $1 in attacking, the other side may need to spend $10 to simply defend. No general will be so stupid that unable to know such a truth.
“I am often struck by the fact that, unlike us in the West, the Russians never throw anything away. It is all refurbished and re-equipped and used in a new role. If we looked hard enough we might even find a squadron of Ilya Mourometz bombers some where!” It is true, partly. When we look back, we can see West store large amount of weapons as well as Russian.
It seems that they more like to talk about something while forgetting some important statement on purpose. This is their mostly used strategy. Here are more examples.
“On one-way Arctic-staged missions, recovering in friendly or natural territory, the ‘Backfire’ is capable of delivering weapons anywhere in the United States without aerial refueling. Staging from Arctic bases and refuelled, the ‘Backfire’ could cover virtually all of the United States on two-way high-altitude subsonic missions.” There is no statement is wrong, but if we think about it, will it happen? How many pilot would be willing to take a “one-way” mission that they can never come back again? About the second situation, “Backfire” is designed to do very low altitude supersonic missions so that it can dodge the radars, what else can it be except for being a target if it fly slowly high above, let alone being refueled by a big clumsy refueling aircraft above the enemy’s defence system.
“BGM-109 Tomahawk is intended eventually to beone of the substitutes for the B-1. But could it, even today, penetrate sophisticated hostile airspace? How about the 1980s?” I have to ask: since it is so useless, why did they still develop it, are they idiot? We all know it flies very low, if it is still useless, how could a “Backfire”, which they regard as a threatening, penetrate their airspace?
There are still a lot of examples showing the ridiculousness in western’s voice. Their strategy is actually not so complex, just lying, distorting, exaggerating and unilaterally stating things. But it works, it totally misled the naive people. Since it worked 30years ago, what about nowadays? What are they similarly doing to China? So, do be careful before you believe it, think more.
And to China, don’t care so much about the so called “international vox populi”. There wasn’t, there isn’t, and there will never be just voice to China! So, go our own way, forget about what other are picking on us.
